For the Yorkshire Regiment (Green Howards), 65,000 men served in the First World War. Of these men, 7,500 died and 23,000 were wounded. The 7,500 men of the Yorkshire Regiment who died in the First World War are recorded in War Memorials to be found in almost every city, town and village in Yorkshire.

We have recorded the information on just SOME of these War Memorials. We would like to collect information on as many as possible, though.
